They explore how journals approach patient consent and confidentiality, consider the differing perspectives on clinician responsibilities when writing about patient care, and offer recommendations for responsible patient engagement, journal policies, and education that supports ethical writing practices.

Together, the authors explore how thoughtful writing can honour patient stories while strengthening ethical, clinical practice.
