Ray Torbiak had never considered any career other than medicine, and he has been a staff interventional radiologist at Joseph Brant Hospital for the past 15 years. Seeking another avenue for self-expression, he enrolled in the Foundational Certificate at the NBM Lab, which gave him a new sense of fulfillment and potential. He has since published his debut novel: Novichok: The Novice Assassin. The book follows a surgeon with his own fatal diagnosis who trades a chance at life for his services as a medical assassin.
