Narrative approaches to well-being and self-care

Resilience in Practice is a new Narrative-Based Medicine workshop series that explores personal and professional resiliency through the work (and wisdom) of clinician – writers. The series offers a safe and welcoming environment to explore resilience and well-being through reading and writing and will use book excerpts as a springboard for reflection and dialogue.

Each session will include: an introduction to a book and its author; in-class reading of excerpts with discussion; and short writing exercises. No prep is required prior to each session.

Target Audience

This series will benefit those looking to inform their practice, or teaching, with narrative approaches. Health care professionals, writers, and anyone else interested in narrative-based medicine, and the role of writing in well-being are encouraged to register.
